Loving Dawn by April Broeckx

Loving Dawn by April Broeckx

A Poem by aprilbroeckx

I feel as though our time is running out

And all it makes me want to do is shout

Down, down, down this hole I go

Where I go, I do not know

Screaming, shaking no place to hide

These walls are breaking from inside

There is no resolve for all that has gone

No more waking to a loving dawn.

As I tip toe on shattered grounds

It feels like you've released the hounds

Chasing in an endless spire

Why cannot this folly tire?

Desolate and unmoving are your eyes

Can't you hear my hollow sighs?

I wont be your slipping pawn

No more waking to a loving dawn.
