Rewarded by the Sun

Rewarded by the Sun

A Poem by april_moonflower

sun kissed

exploding with juicy ripeness

full leafy branches

swelling with orbs of fruit await

the peaches grow

among the apples and the pears

and the earthy smelling fields of orchards

lay in wait for their bounty

sweet gifts of lusciousness

imbibe our tongues

ripe rewards grown by the sun

teasing us with

perfectly solar infused perfection

Your poem makes my mouth water and I am ready to eat the fruit. Brings to mind how delicious naturally ripened fruit is compared to what is usually available at grocery stores. Fruit fresh from the tree is best. I like your poem.

thanks for the heads up on my typo! oh and in regards to punctuation, I'm just lazy like that.lol. thanks for the suggestion. might play around with that and add some more visuals. I was going for a very definite erotic/sensual yet earthy flavor here.

What a feast for the senses. So nicely written. I am not sure if the lack of punctuation is to impose a rapid rhythm on the reader. It seems counterintuitive to not savour this poem by reading it slowly. I think in line three you meant "ful leafy branches." unless you intended to use "brachia" which is the plural of "brachium," but then it doesn't make sense.
Great write fellow arizonian.

:)) I like fruits too, only I never thought about writing a poem in their ,,honor,,.
The word selection and the cadence are great. Nice job.
