Poor Man/Rich Woman

Poor Man/Rich Woman

A Story by april13

Poor Man:

My Love, they said we were too young to know if what we feel is true.  They said this is not Love. They say we can never ever find happiness and we can never be together.  You’re a princess and I am but a slave.  How can they judge as so easily?  They can say anything they want to say.  They can believe what they want to believe.  But between the two of us, we know that what feel is real.  We know that the love between us is true.  We know that what we have is pure and selfless.

Yet no matter how hard we try to overcome all the obstacles, they never cease on coming.  Your father, yes, your beloved father is the one breaking us apart now.  I never thought that we’d be caught up in this classic scenario of the rich and the poor.

I understand your pain.  I know how hard it is for you.  I wish I can wipe away all the tears falling down your lovely face. I wish I can wash away all the sadness lingering in your eyes.

But this time isn’t for us.  This time may not be right us to be together.  But no matter how great the distance or how long we’ll be separated, our love will not weaken.  Instead, our feelings will keep on burning.

So I will go away for now and be the man your father can accept. I will carry all our memories and hold them dear in my heart.  Your face, your smile will be forever with me how long we may be apart.

So until the next time we meet, my love, please wait for me. This is all I ask of you.

Forever and always, I love you.

Rich Woman:

Before you came into my life, I was just another woman trapped inside a castle.  I had a perfect life in the eyes of others but deep inside I was lonely.  I could never find comfort from the things my parents’ money can buy.  I long for the warmth of embrace of a loved one.

I prayed for what seemed like an eternity for God to send me someone who will see me as me not someone who wants me for my looks or my parents’ money or the fame that goes along my name.  Then you came.

You had set me free from this dark world that I’ve been living.  You broke the chains of loneliness that covers me.  You saved me.

And this I vow, with the Heaven as my witness, no matter who comes between us, no matter what life may throw in our way, I will always love you.

So leave, if you must.  I will wait for the day that you will come back to me.

Remember my heart, as I will always remember yours through eternity.
