i suck at chess.
chess involves way too much thinking.
you can't fight without strategy.
it's about planning.
if your opponent is good,
he's onto you, three or four moves ahead.
and he could dismantle your most trusted combination in seconds.
the game often requires you to sacrifice your best pieces
just to put everything in position for the kill.
the "checkmate"
i always tend to play defensively.
i don't bother myself with attacks.
i guess it comes with the personality.
i have this stupid little instinct to save as much pieces as possible.
i couldn't sacrifice even a measly pawn
no matter how much provoked...
naturally if that's how i think,
i wouldn't have an inkling of a chance at winning.
so it's really not a surprise that i have never won a game in my entire life.
just imagine the torment of looking after all those pieces,
trying desperately to put them all to safety, but couldn't.
who can even think of attacking?
i have given those little wooden toys too much unfounded attachment,
my opponent has to wrestle them out of my hand one by one.
i have never won, but i sure can make the game last for hours.
----
somebody might say that it's a noble way to lose.
yeah, it's either very endearing.
or very, very stupid.
