Drowning the pain

What I've seen someone dear to me go through.

You just hurt me
Over and over
I'm always drunk
Because it hurts when I'm sober

The alcohol's killing me
Inside and out
But that doesn't stop me
From putting it in my mouth

Inside is an eternal rain
And I'd rather be dead
Instead of feeling this pain
I can't get you out of my head

One of these days I won't wake up
Not like anyone would care
When I needed my friends most
They were never there
