Lonely night

Driving down the highway
It's getting pretty dark
I'm almost out of gas
So I decide to park

I'm sitting in my car
I don't know what to do
I look up at the stars
And start to think of you

When you are in my head
I feel such delight
But I still feel pretty sad
On this lonely night

This is a simply stated story in a poem, but the feelings come thru strong & clear. Good job of using rhyme & rhythm to help make this feel like a traveling song. There's something about being on the highway that brings out such haunting memories as you express here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
