Too blind to see

I wrote a little something

I cared about you
And you to me
But you were just too blind to see
The person of your dreams could've been me

You fell for him
How I fell for you
I felt there was nothing
Left for me to do

He hurt you bad
You came running to me
You were just too blind to see

I really cared but I moved on
But you still cared about me
You were just too blind to see
That there could've been something between you and me

To me, the best part of your story is when the narrator says "no thanks!" So many times I've seen this scene & you paint it in words so simple & true. It's never a good idea to settle for second fiddle. Good job with poetic construction & crafting rhyme to deliver this well-told story of emancipation -- freedom from pining over someone who really doesn't care that much about you!
