Fading away

A brief little poem that I wrote after seeing my friend in his relationship

Everyone's the same
But I felt different about you
I'd feel happy just hearing your name
But I was a fool

Our love seemed so true
I believed everything you'd say
I really loved you
But I can't do anything as I watch our love fade away

To see a love slowly fade is crushing. You can see it slip away as though you're watching it with your hands tied but trying to recapture that initial feeling is useless.
