A lost soulA Poem by ApparitionWritten about an old friend who has changed beyond recognition...
Drug induced recluse
Confused himself into a noose Was it from trees, like spruce? Unlikely, much too frightening result Was it from capsules Capsized mind, went from "kind," to a*****e Chains of events can be relentless But still... what pill, or chemical, or sentiment Can make a man go mental Delusional, distraught, disturbed What thought or string of words can curb this bird What diseased lab rat potion has murdered this cat Quotient, sum, product- everyone around him is awstruck Monumental change from sane to deranged I don't claim to be a perfect person or profit I too am a perversion, but get off it! That slippery icey pedestal, That jittery eye-widening festival of fallacy Come back down to reality town please Clown of malice Jester of injustice Quit festering in fine fungus and fear For you, lost soul, I shed one tear
