4 O'Clock

4 O'Clock

A Poem by Apathy To Empathy

Why can we never go back to bed?
Whose is the voice ringing in my head?
Where is the sense in these desperate dreams?
Why should I wake when I'm half past dead?

Sure as the clock keeps its steady chime
Weak as I walk to its steady rhyme
Ticking away from the ones we love
So many girls, so little time

4 o'clock

Never lets me sleep

I hang my head

Those dreams I pray for

Half past dead

Those candy filled doors

To unlock

At the dreaded hour of

4 o'clock

I close my eyes

Weep with the loss of needed sleep

Like a frightened child I do run
From the sleep that never will come

4 o'clock

So terrifying

I out of bed do creep

Searching for that needed sleep

Climb this tower of shame

That dreaded time still the same.

Why can we never go back to bed?
Whose is the voice ringing in my head?
Where is the sense in these desperate dreams?
Why should I wake when I'm half past dead?

Sure as the clock keeps its steady chime
Weak as I walk to its steady rhyme
Ticking away from the ones we love
So many girls, so little time

4 o'clock

Never lets me sleep

I hang my head

Those dreams I pray for

Half past dead

Those candy filled doors

To unlock

At the dreaded hour of

4 o'clock

I close my eyes

Weep with the loss of needed sleep

Like a frightened child I do run
From the sleep that never will come

4 o'clock

So terrifying

I out of bed do creep

Searching for that needed sleep

Climb this tower of shame

That dreaded time still the same...

Apathy To Empathy
This poem was based on Emilie Autumns "4 o'clock". Some of her lyrics I did use, BUT ALL credit of those lyrics go to her, and her only.
