O Mistress Mine Come Out and Play

O Mistress Mine Come Out and Play

A Poem by Apathy To Empathy

O Mistress Mine where are you hiding?

Come out and play the game we're playing.
What fun you can have with us this day
If only you'd come out and play.

Where are you roaming?
Your true love is coming.
Trip no further, use the railing.
Your voice you are raising
High and low you are singing.

Are you under the table in tears?
Come on out, your fears
Will never get you here
Not when we're near.

Are you under the bed,
Craddeling your head?
Are your feet made of lead?
Can you wake the dead?

Come on out, and play.
We musn't wait all day.

O Mistress Mine where are you hiding?
Come out and play the game we're playing.
What fun you can have with us this day
If only you'd come out and play.

Where are you roaming?
Your true love is coming.
Trip no further, use the railing.
Your voice you are raising
High and low you are singing.

Are you in the closet drawer,
Your rivers drying still?
Is your rollercoaster climbing up a hill,
And spotting the windmill?

Are you hiding in yourself so hollow
Like my soul in marrow?
Unstopable sorrow
Running into to tomorrow.

O Mistress Mine
Love divine,
Your rollercoaster disincline,
You'll play your own game when you dine.

When you hide,
Your dreams abide,
Your songs to divide
As our game has died.

O Mistress Mine
Come on out, and play.
We musn't wait all day...
