A Chapter by Apathy To Empathy

The clock is a time machine.
It tells the world
Of the hour.

The piano is a music box,
It tells the listener
Of a lullaby.

The pen in your hand
Is a useful tool.
It writes out many things
Of how you might feel or think.

The voice in your very own head
Is you conscious.
It tells you what is right
And what is wrong.

The Earth is a home,
A home to humans,
Animals, and Mother Nature.

The hand that types this
Is to a body.
The body is to a human.

Th human knows
Of what she
Is evidently writing.

For her mind
Is allowing her to create
This poem in a behaved manner.

And in all,
The mind is a voice.
It tells the owner
Of dreams and thoughts.

There is so much
In this vast world
That we can or even do
take for granted.

Yet, whether you want to
Or whether you don't,
It is up to you,
And only you.

The clock is a time machine.
It tells the world
Of the hour.

The piano is a music box,
It tells the listener
Of a lullaby.

The pen in your hand
Is a useful tool.
It writes out many things
Of how you might feel or think.

The voice in your very own head
Is you conscious.
It tells you what is right
And what is wrong.
