14: Falling Down

14: Falling Down

A Chapter by Apathy To Empathy

 Falling Down

We all stumble,

We all fall.

Continuously doing this

To learn how and when

To avoid and fix our injuries;

The scrapes and cuts,

Bruises, and gashes.

Teaching us that if we fall,

There will be pain.

The same is for our minds.

If we're consistent

To make corrections,

We loose our foolishness,

And become intelligent.

We won't trip

Over our errors,

But rather,

We'll stand tall,

And walk over solutions.

Making a mistake

Because we are so imperfect,

We're not walking

In a straight line.

Rather, we're blind,

With our hands outstretched

To feel our way,

Around our dim lit path.

In finding a correction though,

Our hands fall,

Our path becomes lit,

And we look around.

Our path becomes straight,

But heed my warning,

A corner approaches,

Turn it correctly or a scrape may arise.

For we all stumble,

For we all fall,

Continuously we do this

To learn how and when

To avoid and fix our injuries.
