10: Lifeless Eyes

10: Lifeless Eyes

A Chapter by Apathy To Empathy

Lifeless Eyes

Lifeless eyes hold everything,

they hide nothing.

They only show that you're alone

and how desperate you are

for one true friend.

Even if you smile,

and uphold a gaze so dazzling,

your eyes will give way to fault,

and you will be revealed.

But if I gave light to them,

a twinkle or two,

the sun's rays' will shine,

and brighten your day.

The world will smile

and rejoice for your happiness.

Even if lifeless hold everything,

and hide nothing.

Winter's Bare

Winter's trees' sway

With a howl of pain,

No clothes to shelter

Their naked skins'.

But from the frozen rain,

The unexpected day approaches

For Spring to surround

All of the earth bound.

Winter's trees' are bare

To the very bone,

Cold to the touch,

And they stand all alone.

Winter is a frozen wasteland,

Bare and cold in your hand.
