5: Angle

5: Angle

A Chapter by Apathy To Empathy

Angle

Your mind is bent at an odd angle

your emotions twisted-

mainly tangled.

But you continue to stare

not realizing the everlasting

burden you'll bare

That will grow

and arise to go on

to temporarily show

that you've made a mistake,

one you can't

and will no longer take.

Your lover's pain is bent at an odd angle

her heart pounding-

even strangled.

But you continue to blink

not realizing your mind

won't allow you to think.

That will grow

and die to go on

to permanently show

That the child born

is one you will

forever cherish and adorn.

Now once more,

your mind is bent at an odd angle,

mainly twisted and tangled

as you take in sight

of your new born baby girl

with exquisite delight.

Your mind allows you to think

that this was no mistake.

You can no longer stare again, but blink.

Your lover's pain subsides

and she smiles,

her child to abide.

You've become a family,

one ever so complete,

one to last all eternity.
