Among Soft Pine Trees

Among Soft Pine Trees
To fall asleep
among soft pine trees
and drift away
as the world fades.
To lie back and watch
watch as the world stops.
For once to not be worried
stop stress, stop rush, no hurry.
As others go about their lives
to rest my head and close my eyes.
This peaceful, quiet, soft allure
I follow as my vision blurs
and as I lay my head back down
I see there's no returning now.
I fall asleep
among those trees
I drift away...
everything fades.
