Does it hurt?

Have you ever felt so hopeless -

That it hurts?

You've been shoved and pushed around

Into the dirt.

You were cut from your last string

called love.

You're so worn out you swear you hear

angels above?

You're running out of what's left

of your longing.

All you can think about is 

Soon abandoning -

What you call life.

Dear Apatheia,

Absolutely felt this way, but it seems like whenever I want to leave life, God keeps telling me I have something to do here. Weird. Oh yes, shoved and pushed around, by very dear friends or ones I thought were.

I liked the second stanza as it makes the emotion real and raw because honestly it feels like God hates me at that point a lie I know, but emotions can be quite blinding and make one hear those "angels above."

I also liked the rawness of the last stanza. Very real as they say where I'm from and I think you were very expressive in this poem.
