One Way Track

One Way Track

A Poem by Apatheia
"

Poem about leaving.

"
I see the look in your eyes,
Dispare, hurt, tired, and wise.
You're all alone, no going back.
You hate to hit this one way track.
But promises were broken and decisions were made,
The people who care began to fade.
You're all alone now, no going back
to the feelings that you started to lack.
Hopeless, but hoping for something better
but nothing seems to get better, ever.
She'd close her eyes and get whisked away,
to when it was a better day.
To when the smiles came at an ease.
When everything seemed to please.
When music was enough for her
but now those days are just a blur.
So, now she's on a one way track
with no intentions of coming back.

I like this poem a lot. Nice flow of thoughts and I like the story in the poem. Sometime the past become too far away for us to touch. Need to move on. No weakness in this outstanding poem.
