Almost losing herA Poem by apageofmany
As
we laid I held her and felt Watched her pink soft cheeks absorb turn to an uncoloured being,
The
worst feeling is knowing you can’t do anything
She
continued passing out, trying her hardest to not let go, She wasn’t the person who laid in front of me, Not one ounce of emotion was set on her face nor one tear rolled down her face, As she just looked straight through me, This broke me as I crumbled inside, The outside of my figure stood up tall as the heaviness weighed me down more, After having a life-saving operation due to internal bleeding and losing 3ltrs of blood, She was a fighter and that’s what saved her as well as the prayers we pleaded and begged for, []Thank you to the one who watches over us, and answered our calls in the time we needed you most[]
