Dramaturgy’s Resolve
We all tend to think we are the main characters, Yet have we thought of this dramaturgy reality? A careful step to the left, an array of bright jewels laid upon the ground, We fall for it, the fake beauty of this forsaken world, The jewels were mere plastic balls, Is this what we call a “twist of fate”? Why do we live such unprecedented lives? What arrogance do we possess to continue on with a smile? How can one smile, when another frowns? A dramaturgy with no main character, In the end we are all side characters. A fallen tragedy, an unrequited love, We foolishly hope in thought of a different outcome. “Yes”, answers we mutter to be manipulated by people, “No”, answers that frame us as selfish humans. Having said all these, Please smile, this dramaturgy will end, The denouement slowly chases after us. © 2024 aone_tsuAuthor's Note
