A Prince's WoeA Story by ActualityA sad prince begs for the forgiveness of his people.A Prince’s Woe
To the men and women of my kingdom. Cast your eyes upon myself and witness
the grandeur of a prince walking through his very own isles. I am a rarity. You
only witness my greatness once in a lifetime, yet you seem to sparkle with
cheerfulness when I walk ‘round you. Show me the world through your own eyes. Perhaps,
your work in the fields left your hands blistered and they are no longer soft.
Your unkempt hair and weathered skin are an indication of the many hours of
work needed for your survival! By God! The constant struggle of maintaining
ends meet! Your feet are dry, scarred, veiny, and rambled. To think of this
while my body remains untouched by the roughness of the Earth! Oh! I loathe
myself! Look at who I am. Oh, I did not choose this life! I beg for your
forgiveness. Forgive me for being so empty-headed, indifferent and naïve. Spare
my soul, oh, you worker of many hour, you laborer in times of distress! I yearn
to see that everything is well with you, that all of your being is healthy and
blessed by God’s finest angels. I wish to see myself in your fellowship, in a
camaraderie that only those who have experienced some struggle obtain. Oh, I
yearn! Yet, I cannot obtain it. Let me re-live, forever and ever, your daily
woe! Oh lord, please punish my being! Please,
let my soul wither and dry in a near-absence of life"let it not disappoint me
any longer. Why do you, the men who create this beautiful
world of silk and cotton, grain and flour, iron and steel, view me"a hasty
unconventional prince who is worth naught but the damned lifestyle of hell"to
be anything? I am nothing in my entity. I am but a speckle of dust in a mound
full of diamond! My dirty, reckless hands used to take millions of souls are
hereby blessed to be here with me, even to have this opportunity of grasping
such a creation as the pen"all in order"to write this letter on a piece of our
oh so beautiful Mother Earth’s content. I am ashamed! Lord! Rid me of my pitiful and useless
woe. Let me live my life with a meaningful sorrow, perhaps, your sorrow! Strip
me of my belonging, and as I plead, ignore my presence. Curse me! Damn me to a
dungeon, to grow emaciated with time and its loveliness! Let me wander in the
labyrinths of an existence that is similar to nil-being, an existence held to
the mercies of time and"in such"the beautiful concept of life. Leave me like a
leaf in the fall, to wither and grow darker with the absence of sunlight. Oh! I am nothing. I plead with you! Do not
consider my very own spatial existence to be anything of value. I am a
detriment to you, oh you beautiful men and women. Leave me! A Heartfelt Response To the prince, oh, so magnificent. What
grandeur hath brought the townsmen and townswomen to shame? It is your unyielding and harsh nature! You deny us, yet you say you wish you could become one with my brethren. Give me a sign, that you, our prince, will be able to construct a change in these lands! Know that this is the key to our hearts! Nothing more can be done by our people, we are weary, and we are enslaved. The voices of your unfortunate people grow weaker as you do. You taunt us and bewilder us. Are you not ashamed? We revere you! Yet, you make no change.
For the happiness of those who labor
for the health of the country and your own, you must take action! Do not woe!
Change your ways, oh my prince! We are desperate, living in an aura fixated
upon our despair. We wish you no harm! We only wish for your healing. We hope
for you to rebuild your person, and kingdom. Let them grow and mature in the
time brought forth to you by God. You are young! You must rule with justice,
and all things good. Oh! Our land is weary, emaciated, and constricted and trapped!
This land is in need of your healing! Please! Heal! Make haste! Rebuild! We,
your oh so loyal and patient people, are to be of your guidance. © 2016 Actuality |
