Tourists

Tourists

A Poem by Kelly B.
"

always wishing to keep what doesn't wish to be kept.

"
You amorously explored the darkest parts of my thoughts
and shone beams of light in crevices that had yet to see the sun.
You camped out in places of my heart
I was not aware were even habitable.
And not before long, I noticed a shift in my universe's gravitational pull,
forcing you to become its center.
I was always hoping you'd seek residency,
but you remained a tourist.

OOOooooooh... THAT is a OUCH! But it "feels" as if enough time has passed that you have caught your breath.
