the room

the room

A Poem by Anxelin
"

a memory of a room

"
staring at the wall an image unfolds
one without misery, agony and woes
a life is forgotten
a story painted out
upon broken nails
and paint scratched out
screaming an yelling
it all fades away
while pictures unravel in a peculiar way
adventures and fields open ahead
streams an rivers cooling your head
a quick pin to the wrists
and it disappears
back to facing all of your worst fears
a home destroyed
and slave driver to boot
you begin to wonder
if the image on the wall
could ever be true
when will it become
the place you call home
