Earthquake In NepalA Poem by Anusha PokharelHey Guys, so I am from Nepal and I wrote this poem to describe how I felt after Nepal was hit by a 7.9 magnitued earthquake.I was born in a small country called Nepal And there I learned my tradition and my culture I grew up there when I was too little With my family and friends and my country Nepal Then I moved to this new place called America And I was separated from the people I loved I found myself alone in this new culture But still I held in and kept living on But one day I heard this news about Nepal At that time I had this guilt in my heart The mother earth shattered my country Nepal And I was just standing here with no help I was just here in America when my country was on ground I just watched the suffering but I was unable to do none I cried and I cried but it did not help While my country and my people were on ground © 2016 Anusha Pokharel |
