Just Listen

Just Listen

A Poem by anusha123

Before you declare me as average,
Taunting at the inexperience of my age,
And declare my works as a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.

My acts are foolish in your eyes,
Your anger deeply makes me sigh,
And declare my works as a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.

You expect me to be truly brilliant,
Showing tantrums to me for not being valiant,
And declare my works as a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.

I am not truly perfect,
Neither do I wish to be perfect,
Do not declare this wish to be a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.

I may make you mad sometimes,
I may not be the person you want all times,
But do not call this a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.

Believe me I will try my best,
Try to overcome life's every test,
Believe me it is not a sin,
Before telling me all this, once, just listen.
