End of HumanityA Poem by Anuja SharmaBeginning of an era where inhumanity rules.
She was a mother, kind.
Unaware of the cruelty, blind. She was a goddess, worshipped. Still treated like an animal, ripped. She believed in a creature, called human, But for them, she was just a means of fun. There, motherhood made a mistake, Got hungry, asked for help for some intake. She didn’t know, The help that she was being offered, Will make her and her unborn baby blow. Yes, a mother cried, Pleaded before God, “Take me but save my baby, He won’t make the same mistake-maybe” And then, God from heaven offered a satisfactory deal, “This is the end of humanity, A world of cruelty, No kindness, no care, no loyalty. I have some plans for this human race, This year they’ll feel the disgrace. Why don’t you both come here, And let’s just watch how karma pays back there.” © 2020 Anuja Sharma |
