Do not fall in love with meA Poem by DrAnuradha BeleDo not fall in love with me, I will never really, truly believe. I will be waiting, watching ,suspicious, Is this the moment when you leave? My being is littered with broken hearts, Shattered dreams, like pointed shards of glass. I step on them, I bleed but I never learn, It hurts, but how do I quench my soul which burns? It starts off like a firework, Fast, explosive, out of control, Eyes seeking, hands twining, Sparkling, singeing, going berserk. Do you see me crying, well disguised, in my smile? The need which asks, may I now rest a while? where I will be accepted for who I am? Or will this also fizzle out like all others? Leaving behind black smoke which smothers Will this also be another failure, another obituary, An alarm bell for the unwary? Maybe you will light up my sky, With the moon and the stars, I will no longer live a lie; The sun will rise, I will show you my scars. © 2016 DrAnuradha BeleFeatured Review
