This is a description of what happens to those who live through war.

Side effects of war

They say the sharpest lives are the hardest to lead.

Well, here you’ll lose 100 men the minute you drop a seed.

One shot goes off, and then the next.

You’ll barely be able to have a 5 minute rest.

The battle is over more then a thousand men died.

You look at your skin and realize it’s severely dry.

You’re so shocked, you might even start to cry.

You’re back home now, with memories from Iraq.

You hear one drop of water and almost have a heart attack.

Next you realize how many men just died.

It’s enough to make you commit suicide.

And now you’re homeless, and your skin is bare.

People walk past you, because they don’t even care.

All your appendages have become sore.

Now you wonder, “was this really worth fighting for?”.

This question rattles you to your core,

When you realize these are only the side effects of war.
