Greeting Card

A Poem by nathan
"

stems from a hobby I once nursed

"
I am the whisper behind every poem

give lovers and loved ones
on Valentine's and wedding anniversaries.

I am love in black and white
after a box of chocolates,
a kiss and a rose bouquet,
the words behind a secret admirer's serenade.

I am a pleasant birthday wish,
heartfelt condolences,
silent jubilation for successes
and adulation for  your newborns.

I am the voice of homesickness from a far away land
bearing hope when you're sad

I am all these sentiments,
speaking love
knowing none.
