Lie

Lie

A Poem by Mbali
"

"Once told becomes part of you"

"
Once told it stretches through

It twist itself around you

You become bound on what isn't true

Then you are tied to it all through

Just small word will deceive you

It grows so big without a clue

It matures all through with you

Develop to lure you

When you realize you smell like poo

Lots of memory in solitary

Alone and desperate the lie is sanctuary

It keeps on and on as the day is through

Then awakes with you as you rise like a fool

Lie becomes a part of every part of you

All things you do in your life aren't cool

To the point where it won’t live you

It pokes you within create sorrow and tears

Then it opens up and spread like measles

Once it’s told the lie oh it lies

Spread so easily like a bubble in the air

It then gets to others and there it loses its seal

Becomes older and older but always kept warm

The older it grows the larger it spreads

It forms the roots, no one can shake it

It keeps on spreading even though its forgotten where it started

Same as a baby now grown to an adult

Then all the choices are gone

What is left is a pay roll

You wonder where it started at the first place

But gosh you are late

The lie now is a souvenir

Oh lie, why did u lie i wonder why..?

Very good poem. Very deep message, once you lie it can, and probably will grow worse and destroy you. Great poem!
