Drowned

Drowned

A Poem by Mbali

Drowned does not always pertain to water
In the sea, ocean river or lake
It can refer to the feeling inside
When my thoughts wonders of you

I only have to close my eyes
And remember your arms around me
My thighs shivering, my throat roaring
I am a fallen captive to your embrace

I long to feel your tender touch
The satisfaction I have never known
To lie quietly on your chest
Like the bird under the nest

You are the direction of my life
You are my one I sure bet
we fit together like hand and glove
I never have to wonder around

You squeeze my hand, my feet embrace
You turn me warm whenever am cold
I have fallen deep to your love charms
You can always keep me drowned.
