The Painful Goodbye

Its early morning, a month all gone

i looked at their faces and never knew how

they waited the start, and wondered why

babies this is it, soon i will say goodbye

Its not going to be long, i can feel they think i lie

Tears started falling, mommy but why

this time we thought we are going

we cant stay, take us along

with pain and bleeding inside 

my babies goodbye

my head started pounding, my heart shut down

my palms were sweating, blood flow so fast

my feet were heavy, the words all gone

mommy why us, please we want you stay

my prayers for delays, slow down oh days

am not ready to go, i need more time

wet face, tears flow, i don't want to go

wait and please stay, so painful to hear

there is no way out, its a painful goodbye.
