Treetop Aspirations

Treetop Aspirations

A Poem by Watashi wa heiwa

It’s hard to listen
to gods that don’t look down.
No voice or signal
Let what’s lost not be found

Unwavering, we remain.
We remain.

What if now is then?
What if then is now?
This bird cannot fly,
if it’s tied to the ground.
Treetop aspirations engulf me now.
I found how.

Just take these pills
of free-will in a cage.
Dark manifestations
of the insane.

Unwavering, we remain.
We remain.

What if now is then?
What if then is now?
This bird cannot fly,
if it’s tied to the ground.
Treetop aspirations engulf me now.
I found how.
