Do as you're told?

Blinded
 

It's got nothing to do with me I'm safe behind my wall
I'm here to satisfy myself without a care at all
Escaping from the facts is easy living for a high
The hit will soothe the soul enough to never question why
The most important thing in life is looking for the end
Where reaching out to take the prize is here the only friend
It must be true I've seen their words of course they must be right
And so I follow happily alone into the light

I think I would rather live in partial shade than be blinded by false light. Do as I am told? No, I question everything and then make up my own mind. I kept thinking religion here. I am no longer a supporter of organised religion. I've seen too many casualties. Enjoyed the read. Thank you.
