Hate Poem

Hate Poem

A Poem by Ashr
"

I was thinking that there is too much love poetry. Much of it very clichée. So I distractedly wrote an unhinged poem that starts from a clichée and turns to horror. I tried to go for "disturbing".

"
I cannot live without you
My canvas forever bears your paint

You have traced an arrow of pure crimson
To pierce my chest

Drawn words, like edges of sharp obsidian
Over my heartstrings

Cut apart my flesh
Rending my steel to the core

Twisted the air in a chain
Enslaving me

My wind is as weary of you
As the candle is of the fire

You spilled life-blood on my hands
The brand will not away

I looked to the uncaring skies
Would they not undo this ?

Such terror I was ; yet was it not your wish ?
Sowing ruin to reap my hatred

Whose dizzyingly sweet flower
Now blooms on my fingertips

I love you.

About
I like Arabic poetry. A lot. I'll write some of that when I'm fluent. Which I'm not. I want to be able to write my own poetry. I want to say things that have not been said before, though I doubt th.. more..
