FORELSKETA Poem by Anshuwhen you begin to fall in love..Woods, At the monsoon I shall tell you my love, Clouds did burst open Dolorous , With agony Of yours and mine. The ways were not unbent, They were serpentine, Hay bordering them And the earth? Earth was loose sand. The change of wind a minute before it poured My dear, Do you know what it felt like? It was like you Like a paradox Pleasant , tender Yet roaring like tempest and strong Cafuning my hairs, Putting them at the back of my earlobe. I shall flow further and tell you, What I saw I saw loose earth Gliding and rising above the surface As your rhymes do Forming two silhouettes Silhouettes? I shall tell you my love , It was you and me They were chasing the stories the enigmas exploring flowing altogether ecstatically , through the lantanas oaks , cactus and wild berries. Then I shall tell you, It merged, whirling into one And did rise above my head And went to the lake And rested there. Do you know my love? I saw feathers too, Soft and white Kind and light Just like you. I collected some As souvenirs like you do Oh , how I forgot to tell you my love , About the dandelions .? I whispered to them Some of our secrets And they flew , Roaming to the corners of earth Telling the birds , pebbles , Flowers sky and earth About our love. Did I tell you that it rained heavily? Yes , dear , it rained The fragrance of the earth Which we ate I stole it all and kept it in my body. I felt the frisson of love when the silver ropes Touched me. Lakes , potholes were all upto the brim Did I tell you about the frogs that were hopping? And the children playing in the mud Reminded me of your laughs? Did I tell you ? I saw fireflies? They were like you , Always glowing in my nights. Did I tell you My Neruda? I made the boats of my origami heart Which I sailed in the air For you to collect Did I tell you what it felt like? It felt like , That you have somehow healed me.
