I am waiting for a phone call

I have to be on the ball

Everything must be ready

Must have my camera and a teddy

I just need my phone to ring

Maybe it’s not working, the silly thing

Now I am just waiting

My hearts just abating

For you my little man

Please hurry be as quick as you can!

I can’t wait to meet you

Soon you will make your debut

You will enter my world and my heart

And be a very bit part

A new life has begun

My beautiful grandson

I am sure you will remind me of my boy

I am sure you will give me so much joy

You will be blessed with your beautiful mummy

For nine months you have lived in her tummy

Soon I will be holding you in my arms at last

I will be made to put you down; I will have to be asked!

My first grandbaby will be here soon

Will it be morning, night or afternoon?

What date will it be?

We will have to wait and see

Any day now

You will take a bow

My beautiful, wonderful little bear

With daddy’s big blue eyes and blonde hair

With mummy’s cute nose

And ten little fingers and ten little toes

Tell mummy to ring me soon

Before the next new moon

Mummy can say “Baby is on the way

Can you get here today?”

I’m only two hours away down the M6

I will be there in a fix

I will be with you as quick as I can

I love you little man

This is so cute and adorable poem, and Monday going to have it our the baby room wall for him because how special it is to him. He be out soon with us around to love him, and you will be a wonderful nana because you already a ace mum and nan thank you
