Aint no ' t' in coffee..............You couldn't have had.....The Boston Coffee Party.......Nor could you wear short sleeved coffee-shirts in summer.......And coming to a Coffee-junction is just plain daft - almost as as daft as a rampaging Coffee-ranasuarus Rex........But when the sun has peeked o'er the horizon and the morning paper's vellichor fills the air, there's no room for Tea ...then...only hot rich coffee will do.........That's c.o.f.f.e.e. ~ aint no 't' in coffee yo !!gl
Hi ANTO. Got to admit to being more of a tea person myself, but the aroma of freshly brewed coffee takes some beating, as does this. Especially the lovely image conjured up by the words; 'when the sun has peeked o'er the horizon and the morning paper's vellichor fills the air,' (can see you sitting there,)
I'm known for my legendary devotion to coffee, so of course I love your poem. I love all the different ways you came up with such playful, tongue-in-cheek comparisons between coffee & tea.
Snapping my fingers, anto--is that short for something? I'm not much of a tea drinker myself, maybe because I tried it at a young age and couldn't stand the taste then, still have yet to find one I flavor... enjoy the "vellichor" reading this...
