A man within a locked room
the walls made to silence, made to censor
every window blocked by iron sheets, steel bars
no entry of sunlight, no entry of reason
with human resources at his deposal
he stares at a pixelated screen
no limitations on his actions within the walls
the freedom of his imprisonment
and he escapes to horror films
his sanctuary from sorrow
for only there depicts a life worse than his
he finds comfort in these stories
as he strengthens the walls of his room
placing brick upon brick closing in the space where he resides
and he often wonders what's beyond his paradise of lonelyness
his house of solitude, fortitude
to burn down his sanctions he would destroy himself
to leave them he would destroy himself
