The Fragment and shell silhouette: Self WorthA Poem by TaralSo many times to you wonder what your worth is. But you can only know your worth when you have known yourself.
Whose Silhouette is that?
I think I know. Its owner is quite happy though, full of joy like a vivid rainbow. She is a girl learning to embrace herself. Its amazing how she is growing, It was only yesterday she was taking her baby steps. She has understood the true meaning of being a woman. Her body she has set as a mirror of Deity. As God is so is she. She will not let any man profane God's temple. With full wisdom no boy will neither find his worth beneath her skin. Nor his manhood inside her woman. Her body is not a place for him to sow his wild oats. She has stopped listening to little boys in their blindfolds!! She is a reminant of God to be guarded, not just points on a basketball board to be counted. God made her to be poetry, not merely bones wrapped in a body to play with. Her body is to speak more than words. Her body is a temple of worship. She is fully aware of her position. She is far more worth than rubies. The Silhoutte is fragment, shell and deep. But she has promises to keep. Like a lily among thorns so is she. She made her heart Cathedral. Even though people see her as a fragment of a glass, contrite and easily broken. "She will remember glass once made clean can reflect something beautiful."
