The Fragment and shell silhouette: Self Worth

The Fragment and shell silhouette: Self Worth

A Poem by Taral
"

So many times to you wonder what your worth is. But you can only know your worth when you have known yourself.

"
Whose Silhouette is that?
I think I know.
Its owner is quite happy though,
full of joy like a vivid rainbow.

She is a girl learning to embrace herself.
Its amazing how she is growing,
It was only yesterday she was taking her baby steps.
She has understood the true meaning of being a woman.

Her body she has set as a mirror of Deity.
As God is so is she.
She will not let any man profane God's temple.
With full wisdom no boy will neither find his worth beneath her skin.
Nor his manhood inside her woman.
Her body is not a place for him to sow his wild oats.
She has stopped listening to little boys in their blindfolds!!

She is a reminant of God to be guarded,
not just points on a basketball board to be counted.
God made her to be poetry,
not merely bones wrapped in  a body to play with.

Her body is to speak more than words.
Her body is a temple of worship.
She is fully aware of  her position.
She is far more worth than rubies.

The Silhoutte is fragment, shell and deep.
But she has promises to keep.
Like a lily among thorns so is she.

She made her heart Cathedral.
Even though people see her as a fragment
of a glass, contrite and easily broken.

"She will remember glass once made clean can reflect something beautiful."

She made her heart Cathedral.

Now, that is pure poetry. Love the message of empowerment through connection to God. Beautiful metaphors throughout, from the title to the last line. :):)

Great comfort in having faith and God on your side. As you walk the walk in life. A beautiful heartfelt deep poem.

I can see how much you love God and how strong your faith. It seems like no matter what storms may hit you can never be walked over.
