The Tears

how it all began to come down

She came home one day

with tears rolling down her face

it went like this for many days to come

soon she left her belongings at her relatives home

she didn't tells us why

but now we must say good bye

to the life we used to know

it will never be the same

going back and forth again

from one house to another

now i will never know again

the life i used to know

reminds me of when my folks split... life never is the same again. I don't think parents realize just what turmoil they are putting their kids through when they decide to go through divorce, but sadly sometimes its for the best. But that is a realization that takes years to figure out for the kids. I don't think I truly understood it until I left home. Great poem... sad but beautiful.
