Lesson LearnedA Poem by Emmy
He lived life like he smoked his cigarette,
leisurely, then later full of regret. When he caught sight of trouble he would run into her arms, told myself I was done. No concern were we, his collateral. He found love, but I was the one to fall. Just as you left me alone and confused, so she will torment you, and leave you bruised. Though you no longer may be my concern I want to see you do better and learn that choices matter, actions mean something, and above all else, you are not nothing.
