My True RomanticA Poem by Emmy
I thought I saw a Romantic in you.
You lived life like you smoked your cigarette, leisurely, but later full of regret. I wanted to face the world, just us two, but you hid from me and blamed your issues. Some how I had become your biggest threat, I could be your downfall, like Juliet. You were a true Romantic through and through I never read the poems of William Blake, or observed "The Oxbow" by Thomas Cole. Instead I decided to go on my own. Thank you for giving me my first heartbreak. Good luck in your treasure hunt for a soul. Now we leave what could be to the unknown.
