City Lights

City Lights

A Poem by Annie Rachele
"

Sometimes we miss the real beauty of the world because of the distractions we've put into it. This is just a poem about our lives.

"
City Lights
We live in a world with sunsets
blazing 'cross the sky,
And fields of fragile wildflowers
kissed by the breeze as it goes by.
At night we can glance up at the stars
and count the constellations,
or sink into the moonlight
who's shined on us for generations.
Mother nature loves us dearly,
for she gave us such extravagant sights.
But we get lost in living,
blinded by the city lights.

Thank you so much!
Very nice and truth poem. I use to live in the countryside, but I always felt traped. Now i live in a city and it's wonderful.

So true, Annie. I, myself, hate city lights and much prefer sunsets and stars. Darn light pollution. But well written.
