Two Sides of Pain

Two Sides of Pain

A Poem by Annie Rachele
"

I want people to know you can be your own hero because sometimes you need to be. Simple gestures or things in life could be more important to you than others will ever understand.

"
How could so much pain
come from inside your head.
Paralyzing you down to your breathe
Until you've seen your life hanging by a thread.
With darkness all around you
and no ones hand to reach for,
you give up before you notice
there are two sides in this war.

You're blinded by the feeling of anxiety,
Too much so to see the fight.
you still have a chance to beat this
sometimes you have to work harder to see the light.
It's there in someone's hug,
Or when they say to put on a coat.
Even Mother Nature knew the dark is scary,
hence the shining moon and stars afloat.
In the deep, dark sky they sit
Waiting for you to see,
they are burning themselves out
to give light when it's dark as can be.

No matter what you feel
Pain can go away
Not through scars or death,
But living to see a new day.
Help can be hard to find
So look for it all around
Because someone somewhere needs you
It's okay to be lost before you are found.

Thank you, I know how you feel
We live by "Hope" - and with it. And despair when we lose it.
