The Candle-Maker's Shop

The Candle-Maker's Shop

A Poem by Annie N.
"

a delicious waltz with aromas...

"

French lavender and velvet vanilla,

Honeyed nuts and sugared pears

Envelope me in air so sweetened.

Hints of lilac and violet petals,

Zesty limes with juniper breezes

Kiss my odorless lips with fruity essence.

Mingle country spices with mountain laurel,

Join coconut cream and buttermilk mints,

And serenade my blissful inhalations.

Scents of apricots, peaches, melons,

Slivers of pine and smoky apples

Entrance the senses with teasing aromas.

With tart raspberries and bitter plums,

Come lush roses and buttered scotch

Hatched from the dancing candlelight...

A excellent poem. I like how your described the odors of the candle making shop. Your words brought me into the shop. Thank you for a outstanding poem.
