Nature's Harmony

Nature's Harmony

A Poem by Annie N.
"

My first ever Tanka! 2pts.

"
Trees sigh in the wind
Whisper quietly their song
Roots digging in deep
Entwined in the tightest knots
In a perfect harmony.

Trees take their last breath
Singing last words of their song
Roots become unearthed
Knots begin to unravel
Machines tear through unity

We should all appreciate the gifts of the trees and listen to their song. I feel sad to see them destroyed, especially the ancient ones. The is a well written poem, I like the way you have seperated the two images, one of beauty and one of destruction of that beauty.

Wow! For a 12 year old that was awesome I must say! Two very short verses but it means a whole lot. The last verse speaks and says yeah that people are tearing down a lot of trees and we need trees!!
Anywhooozer great write I must say!!! (:
