THE TRAILER GHOSTA Poem by PattiFStory of a time I lived in a haunted trailer
THE HAUNTED TRAILER ( IN HONOR OF HALLOWEEN-TRUE STORY)
Just a rundown, old trailer that stood out from the rest, With a tattered and dark, dingy face. It looked cold and neglected and long ago left, And it appeared to be quite out of place. The moment she entered this dwelling, There was a mood that enveloped her soul. It filled her with sadness and tortured her heart, With an evil that felt black as coal. But still a young girl, quite broke and alone, And trying to make her own way. She ignored all her instincts and followed her friend, Who decided that’s where they would stay. Faded linoleum covered the floors, With furniture dirty and stained. She was desperate to run from this hideous place, But with no other choice, she remained. She lived every day with a deep sense of dread, Just feeling that And each day that went by it only got worse, As the feeling grew increasingly strong. Then finally one night when they settled in bed, She would see her worst fears come alive. When there in the blackness they could hear his slow steps, Along with his sad, tortured sighs. He paced back and forth going into her room, Where he’d stop and stand still for a time. Then his pacing continued down the hall toward her friend, While she laid there screaming inside. But for some Never once setting foot right inside. Then he’d sigh and he’d turn pacing right back again, And this would go on through the night. They tried to believe it was just in their minds, Going on with their lives every day. But the deep Made them realize they just couldn’t stay. They wondered what tragedy had befallen this man, That kept him entrapped in this place. And what may have happened in that room down the hall, That his tortured soul still couldn’t face. So one day they packed up and escaped from that place, That dungeon that could never be home, But her sadness for him just made her heart And she hated to leave him alone. And still to this day she thinks of her ghost, And wonders if he still paces there, And prays that somehow he remembers her too, And knew there was someone who cared.
