Desperate

Desperate

A Poem by Internet Killed TV

I remember the first time you
looked at me.

Your eyes were a pale blue.

They looked lost, they looked sad,
they looked desperate for someone.

I remember the first time you
talked to me.

Your voice was soft.

It sounded scared, it sounded beautiful,
it sounded desperate for someone.

I remember the first time you
kissed me.

Your lips were rough.

They felt dangerous, they felt deadly
they felt desperate for someone to kiss.

I remember the last time I looked at you.

Your eyes were grey and empty.

They looked lost, they looked dead,
they looked desperate to live again.

The eyes tell stories. If you look hard enough. Can see happiness or sadness. I like the journey you took me with in your words. Love can make you crazy with happiness and can also leave desperate wishing for a better end. A sad ending to a excellent poem.

A clear-cut vision from start to finish.
You've got talent in conveying emotions without using any words connotative with those emotions.

Really raw & edgy, I love the way you tie in "desperate" every other line. So good.
