GOING WITH THE FLOW

It isn't always easy or popular to stand up for truth but if you are just racing with the herd you will eventually get trampled on...

It always seems much easier

to simply go with the flow,

let the current take you

wherever it may go.

Let silence be your agreement.

follow blindly, have nothing to say,

go in the direction of the flow

and don’t make any waves.

Don’t ruffle any feathers.

Just hold on to apathy.

Don’t ponder any doubts you have

or question inconsistency;

going with the flow is easier

than to follow what your heart believes.

 

Just going with the tide

may seem an easy place to be

until you find you’re drowning

in the rip-tide of the sea;

a world of misinformation

in an ocean of deceit.

 

Life may seem more congenial

when you are part of the herd

but you’re on a road to destruction

if you’re not following God’s Word.

You may make your fortune,

have lots of popularity

but all that gain is naught but loss

when in God you won’t believe.

Going with the flow seems easier

in this world so badly flawed

but all roads lead to disaster

if you’re not walking with God.
